Interview with Nadezhda Vlasenko from Robocash

What is the hottest news from Robocash?

Well, right now, we are working on a new feature called One-click investment. As you understand from the name, this is a very simple and well-balanced investment strategy with minimal settings. You just need to press the button and wait for your profit. We will tell you more about this in the near future.

We are also glad to onboard a new originator, Digido. Digido.ph is the alternative lending service of Robocash Group in the Philippines.

The company offers consumer loans for up to 180 days and stands out from its competitors with highly innovative, customer-friendly financial solutions. For 9 months of 2022, Digido's net profit exceeded the results for the same period last year by 16%, and we are very optimistic about 2023.

And I can't help but note the Group’s results for the past 9 months of 2022. The net profit has reached USD 43.5 m, an amazing increase of 127.8% compared to the same period in 2021. We’ll keep it up!

How did the war in Ukraine affect Robocash?

The operational work of Robocash is not affected much by the political tension and resulting sanctions.

We do not place Russian or Ukrainian loans on the platform, and all related transactions as well as loan disbursement activities of the companies are done through the respective local banks. Financially, our investors are not affected by this.

But of course, the events cause certain concerns among investors. What can I say, we are all concerned about what is happening. For our part, we consider it important to maintain transparent communication with our clients, guaranteeing the safety of their funds.

Many investors are still concerned about the Russian background of Robocash’s employees: What would you like to tell them?

Our team consists of people from different countries. Most of us work abroad - in Turkey, Croatia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, and so on. Despite all the events, we continue to operate smoothly.

So far, there have been no defaulted loans on the platform, and the Group's net income by the beginning of September 2022 exceeds our initial plans.

As for possible sanctions against our employees, there are no such international sanctions on Russian citizens and we have not heard about such intentions.

Moreover, all previous sanctions concerned mostly the state or systemically important private banking sector, to which we do not belong.

What did you learn from the two recent crises?

Crises teach us to endure and resist.

This was shown by the pandemic, in particular. 2022 also shook the market, but the experience of going through difficult periods allowed it to stabilize. Although, it is too early to give specific market forecasts.

Another important thing we learned is to be agile and flexible. Reacting fast and being able to adjust our strategy is one of the things that helped us navigate the crises.

Besides this, in times of crisis, we all understand how important it is to be open to each other. We have learned how to set up an open dialogue with investors and will continue to work in this direction further.

As regulation is critical to us, any plans for Robocash?

The legal entity operating our platform, Robocash d.o.o. is governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia and is included in the court register of the country.

Our legal team constantly monitors the market to see if any opportunity of a specialised licence comes up that would suit our operational model. Once we find a suitable option, we will, of course, use it.

What do you like most about Robocash?

I have been working on the platform since its launch and of course I am proud of what we have achieved over the years.

But most of all I love our team, thanks to which we have these results. I appreciate people for their enthusiasm, dedication and proactivity. I think that we still have a lot of interesting things ahead of us.

And what do you think could be improved?

In the rapidly evolving world of technology, we need to keep up with the trends. We are currently working on a new design for the website, making it more modern and easier to use.

Also, as I noted before, our plans include the introduction of an auto strategy that will make the investment process quick and easy. Now we are actively collecting feedback from investors, and in the near future we plan to release some updates.

Let's speak about the future, what’s next for Robocash?

The development of Robo.cash largely depends on the needs of the holding, as it is an important funding resource. The Group has big plans to expand and become a top company in emerging markets.

It is likely that we should expect new offers on the platform, although it will take some time before we are ready to present them.

For now, we will definitely focus on improving the product itself, increasing the investor base. I believe that on our next anniversary we will be able to boast a milestone of 100 thousand customers :)

Great, and where do you see the greatest challenges?

The main challenge is the uncertainty, for which we must be mentally and operationally prepared to avoid any significant crises. But at the same time, any challenges are points for development, although not always pleasant.

We also see that competition in the P2P market is growing. The market shock forced many players to rethink their business processes. Competition between platforms will intensify, promising growing benefits and quality of services for investors.

Finally, is there anything you would like to highlight?

I would like to thank our investors who trust Robocash with their funds and spread the word about us, especially during these challenging times. Especially now, it is important to support and develop the work of the business through thoughtful decisions and transparent communications.

We will continue to share platform and Group performance on a monthly basis and publish audited financial statements on a regular basis. And if you are not with us yet, join the Robo.cash community!
