On Mintos, investors can invest in thousands of P2P loans. Mintos offers consumer loans, business loans, car loans and many other types of loans. Other P2P platforms such as Twino, PeerBerry and iuvo mainly broker short-dated consumer loans (PayDay Loans), which often have short terms of 30 days.
Short-term loans have a very attractive return and risk profile for investors, which is why some P2P investors want to invest exclusively in P2P loans with short terms.
We would like to show you in this article, how you can quickly find loans with short terms on Mintos.
Selecting loans through loan originators
Some loan originators that offer their loans to investors on Mintos focus mainly on short-term consumer loans.
Mintos offers an overview page where you can filter loan originators by loan type. In the filter settings, you can then select short-term loan as the loan type.
After that, you can either manually select the loans of the loan originators or automatically invest in the loans.
Please note that some loan originators offer both short-term loans and consumer loans. If you want to invest in the loans automatically, you should set a maximum term, for example 1 - 3 months.
Selecting loans via the Auto Invest function
Alternatively, you can also invest in short-term loans using a custom Auto Invest strategy, for example, if you want to avoid going through the trouble of selecting individual loan providers.
After you have created your Auto Invest portfolio, you only need to set the Remaining Term (Months) setting.
Comparable platforms that broker loans with very short terms often offer interest rates between 10% - 14% p.a., so it may make sense to set the interest rates to a minimum of 10% p.a. and 14% p.a. as well.
On the right side of the screen, Mintos also shows you directly how many loans are available with your settings. In this case, we could choose from more than 75,000 loans.
As you can see, it is easy to invest specifically in short-term consumer loans on Mintos.
When you invest in P2P loans, you should define a consistent investment strategy that you then follow on the different platforms. For example, if you invest mainly or almost exclusively in short maturities, you should do so across all P2P platforms.
